Cinderford is a town in the Forest of Dean district of Gloucestershire, England. It is located on the eastern edge of the Forest of Dean, close to the border with Wales. Historically, Cinderford was a thriving coal-mining town, with many coal mines operating in the area during the 19th and early 20th centuries. However, the last mine in the area closed in 1965, and since then the town has undergone significant redevelopment. Today, Cinderford is a modern town with a range of amenities, including shops, restaurants, and leisure facilities, as well as access to the beautiful countryside of the Forest of Dean.
